Alex Watts

Alex began nursing in 2004 on the Isle of Wight where she is originally from, passing her VN qualifications in 2009. She started as a locum nurse in 2010 and worked in various 1^st opinion and out-of-hours practices on the south coast before moving to South Africa  to follow her interest in wildlife conservation and big game nursing, and afterwards to the Middle East as an RVN. She moved back to the UK and 'up north' in 2017 whilst locumming as an RVN and studying in Manchester, first coming to us as a locum in 2020. She joined us a permanent member of staff in November 2022.

Alex has a keen interest in wildlife conservation and genetics and continues to study part-time in this field. She is interested in photography and hiking in the little spare time she has left!
